CARRIE RICH

CEO & Co-Founder

Bio

Carrie Rich is the co-founder and CEO of The Global Good Fund. Built by and for social entrepreneurs, The Global Good Fund was created in 2012 based on the belief that growing leaders is the best strategy for solving complex social problems and achieving global good. Carrie tested the theory behind The Global Good Fund while working as Senior Director of Vision Translation at Inova Health System and teaching as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University. There, she co-authored Sustainability for Healthcare Management: A Leadership Imperative, a Handelsblatt's Top 5 Business Book. Carrie has been recognized as a 2018 Enterprising Women of the Year Awardee. 

Manolo Paez

Chief of Staff

Bio

Manolo is Chief Of Staff at The Global Good Fund, where he leads the strategic growth and operations of the organization. His background is in business development and innovation consulting in the United States and Latin America. He also has experience as a teacher and speaker in academic and business environments, and worked as a consultant for the International Labour Organization (ILO) in the youth employment and entrepreneurship fields. As an entrepreneur and economist, he has started companies in several parts of the world. He earned his MSc in economics from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.

 

NAZLIN BHIMJI

Director of Programs

Bio

Nazlin Bhimji is the Director of Programs and is responsible for managing The Global Good Fund Fellowship Program. She has over 15 years of global experience working with non-profit organizations, businesses and international organizations on business development, organizational strategy, program development and CSR and sustainability. Nazlin co-founded a women-focused business in Kenya, where she managed operations and finance. She also worked at Women Thrive Worldwide, a leading advocate for global women’s issues, and served in various positions including Acting Executive Director.

Nazlin has an Executive MBA from the George Washington University, an MA in International Development from American University, a BA in International Studies and French from Ohio Wesleyan University and is a Certified Sustainability Practitioner.

DEVON SANFORD

Director of Business Development

Bio

Devon Sanford is the Director of Business Development, supporting the growth of The Global Good Fund Fellowship programs and leading Alumni Relations. She previously served on The Young Executive Council, The Global Good Fund’s advisory committee, and forged her engagement and investment in social entrepreneurship as a 2015 Venture for America Fellow.

Devon earned her undergraduate degree in English and Business Management from Boston College. 

Jackie Cohen

Director of Communications

Bio

Jackie is responsible for developing and elevating The Global Good Fund brand through email marketing, social media and design. She brings ten years of professional experience in the financial, retail and social enterprise sectors. Her passion for storytelling began at Hautelook, an online fashion retailer acquired by Nordstrom in 2013. Most recently, Jackie worked as the Head of Merchandising for social enterprise Fashion Project, supporting their mission to sell clothing to raise money for charity.

Jackie's background is both analytical and creative; she earned her undergraduate degree in Finance and Graphic Design from Lehigh University.

Allie Johnston

Program Manager

Bio

Allie Johnston is Program Manager for The Global Good Fund’s Flagship Fellowship Program, responsible for managing the fellows and coordinating the Search and Selection process. Allie previously worked at PeaceLove Studios, an organization that trains front-line professionals in PeaceLove’s expressive arts curriculum to bring back to their populations and help them create peace of mind. Allie was the CREATORS Coordinator as well as a Certified CREATOR herself, and ran the social media platform for PeaceLove. Allie earned an Independent Concentration BA in Expressive Arts and Mental Health from Brown University. She is a 2015 grad passionate about helping create positive change in the world, following in the footsteps of her late father, Hooks Kelley Johnston III.

Jamie Turow

Communications Manager

Bio

As Communications Manager, Jamie Turow promotes The Global Good Fund’s mission through social media, partnerships, written materials and event execution. Her professional career began after graduating from The University of Arizona in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. After holding various positions in media and entertainment, Jamie yearned to use her creative marketing skills in serving the greater good. She first joined The Global Good Fund team as a volunteer, and quickly became passionate about the social impact space.
