The Global Good Fund Fellowship strengthens the leadership capacity of social entrepreneurs to create a meaningful global impact.
The success of this program relies on a diverse community of coaches, mentors and interest based constituencies that are
committed to providing business and leadership expertise to accelerate our entrepreneurs' impact. As part of
The Global Good Fund community you have the opportunity to deliver expertise to our entrepreneurs
and network with peers with shared values. This community strengthens the social entrepreneurship ecosystem
and furthers The Global Good Fund's mission.

About the YEC

The Global Good Fund’s Young Executive Council is a junior board comprised of young men & women. The goal of each YEC member is to recruit young donors, and engage a young demographic interested in social entrepreneurship to become involved socially & philanthropically in the GGF community.

Claire Kennedy

Claire has been passionate about and involved with GGF since she met Carrie Rich in 2014, and she currently serves as the Chair of our Young Executives Council. Her full time job is leading Talent Operations at Axios.  Prior to joining Axios, Claire worked at POLITICO for nearly four years, holding a series of business development, sales and talent acquisition roles. Prior to POLITICO, Claire worked at Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates in Washington, where she supported their clients’ policy initiatives across a broad array of industries. Claire is a graduate of Tulane University and a proud fan of all things Louisiana.

Kristen Chou

Kristen is a Manager in Deloitte Consulting's Strategy and Operations Practice. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of our Young Exectives Council. Kristen has over five years of consulting experience, advising clients on strategic transformation, operations improvement, and advanced analytics projects. She also serves as the Chief of Staff for the Federal Analytics Practice, where she provides advisory support to firm leadership on all aspects of the business. In her free time, Kristen serves on the board of ArtStream Organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Kevin Iraheta

Kevin supports investment management, portfolio data analysis and client experience for donor recommended private debt and equity investments at ImpactAssets as a Senior Associate, Custom Investments. ImpactAssets is a nonprofit financial services firm that increases the flow of capital into investments that deliver financial, social and environmental returns. Previously, Kevin worked at Acumen’s Civic Accelerator, The Global Good Fund and Georgetown University McDonough School of Business’ Business for Impact. Between 2016 and 2017, he co-founded an education technology startup focused on creating a comprehensive scholarship management platform. In 2013, Kevin was introduced to the world of social entrepreneurship when Carrie Rich presented GGF at a career panel through his scholarship program, The Posse Foundation. Since then, he’s been committed to using business as a force for good.

Andrew Moses

Andrew Moses is the Head of Marketing & Sales at MorganFranklin Consulting. In addition, he is co-founder of Autism Speaks U, a national initiative of Autism Speaks that engages students from universities across 20+ states in advocacy, awareness, and fundraising. Andrew is the youngest alumni to ever win Penn State’s Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award -- awarded once per year by the Penn State Alumni Association, the world's largest dues-paying alumni association.

Alana Cheeks-Lomax

Alana Cheeks-Lomax is a healthcare strategy manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Government and Public Sector Practice. She has over 8 years of consulting experience advising clients on large scale business transformations utilizing data and analytics to develop strategies to support better health outcomes.  Prior to Deloitte Consulting, Alana worked at Project Renewal a non-profit which focused on providing social services to New York City's most vulnerable populations . She is passionate about bridging her background in non-profit, public policy, and business to create sustainable solutions for social impact. Alana is also a proud alumna of Carnegie Mellon University where she holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Healthcare Policy and Management from the Heinz School. 

Alexandra Burtoft Gilroy

Alex is currently a clinical specialist for Genentech where she is part of the Hemophilia sales force. Alex has worked for Genentech for 7 years across multiple products and functions and is extremely passionate about helping patients. She graduated from Wharton's healthcare management program in 2015. 

William Classen

William Classen currently serves as a Director at 360 Real Estate Advisors specializing in tenant representation and lease negotiations for clients across the Washington metropolitan area. Prior to joining 360 Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Classen was an associate broker at Newmark Knight Frank where he was responsible for representing many prominent Washington, DC metro tenants in transactions including Adams and Reese LLP, Full Measure Education, Perfecta, GSSR, Council For Logistics Research and Federal Practice Group. He began his career in Washington, DC at The Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), a leading best practice advisory and technology company, where he focused on account management and new business development within the corporate finance and strategy practice. Mr. Classen graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and financial management and was a member of the Student Body President’s Cabinet, Undergraduate Student Government, Sigma Pi Fraternity and LeaderShape (formerly the LeaderShape Institute).

Jeffrey Prost-Greene

Jeff has founded and worked with social enterprises and initiatives at the intersection of food systems, sustainable and community development and climate change, both in the US and South Africa. In 2014, he co-founded Up Top Acres, a rooftop farming social enterprise that converts underutilized city land into productive farmland and event spaces. More recently, worked for Misfit Foods, a startup social enterprise that fights food waste by creating delicious food products out of misshapen fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be discarded. Jeff studied business and social entrepreneurship at the UMASS Amherst and University of Cape Town Business Graduate School. Recently, he completed graduate level intensive certificate training in Social Enterprise Management and Impact investing at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. 

Halle Abraham

Halle Abraham is an incoming management consulting analyst at Accenture, from West Orange, NJ. She is currently finishing her studies at the University of Pennsylvania where she is studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a specialization in Globalization and a minor in Africana Studies. At Penn, Halle has served as the Chief of Staff of the Wharton Africa Business Conference and the Director of the the Ideas for Action Accelerator by the World Bank and the Wharton School. Additionally, she is currently the President of the Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the President of the Black Pre-Law Association. She is passionate about social impact, global issues, policy interventions, and entrepreneurship.

Allison Chou

Allison is an equity research associate at Baron Capital, an asset management firm based in NYC, where she evaluates current and prospective portfolio investments in the Internet sector. Prior to joining Baron, Allison worked at Goldman Sachs as an equity research analyst. Originally from McLean, VA, she graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Economics and Women’s and Gender Studies in 2017. In her free time, Allison enjoys farmers markets, Korean BBQ, and NBA basketball.

Our Business Mentors

Each Fellow is paired with a Global Good Fund Business Mentor ("BM"). Global Good Fund Business Mentor’s are established business or non-profit leaders with proven success starting, running or scaling major businesses/organizations. The BM carries out a 10-month relationship with their GGF Fellow, leveraging their experience & expertise to guide and advise their Fellow in implementing his/her personal Leadership Development Plan ("LDP"). The Fellow-Mentor partnership is a mutually beneficial way to turn success into significance, a unique combination of cross-generational power that yields exponential impact.

Ted Leonsis

Ted is a distinguished sports team owner, venture capitalist, filmmaker, author, and philanthropist. Presently, he is the founder, Chairman, CEO and majority owner of Monumental Sports & Entertainment. The company owns and operates the Washington Capitals (NHL), Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Mystics (WNBA), and Verizon Center located in downtown Washington, DC. Ted enjoyed a 14-year career at America Online (AOL) where he served as President of AOL’s Service Company, AOL Studios, and AOL Web Properties.

Knox Singleton

CEO, Inova Health System

Knox Singleton is CEO of Inova Health System, one of the nation’s most integrated and most wired healthcare delivery systems and one of the largest in the metropolitan Washington region. He was named Citizen of the Year by The Washington Post in 1990 and was inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame in November 2009. Mr. Singleton serves as President of the Community Coalition for Haiti and is a Ruling Elder at Vienna Presbyterian Church. Mr. Singleton has four children and lives in McLean, Virginia.


Annie Ryu

Global Village Fruits - Fellow


Annie Ryu created Global Village Fruits after seeing first hand jackfruit going to waste in India. Her organization handles the logistics needed to supply jackfruit from small farms to global markets. Profits are then reinvested or loaned back to the farmers to create sustainable businesses. Ms. Ryu was an honorary fellow at the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT and Glamour Magazine named her one of the Top Ten College Women. She graduated from Harvard University in 2013.

Larry Warren was interim President and CEO of Trinity Health Corporation. With more than 30 years of hospital and human resource management experience, he has previously served as CEO at Howard University Hospital and the University of Michigan Hospital. Mr. Warren earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in education administration from Eastern Michigan University.

Madhura Bhat is a co-founder of Health for America. This non-profit organization creates community-based, innovative health solutions. Health for America promotes fresh thinking for health solutions to the young leaders it works with. Born and raised in Zambia, Madhura migrated to the United States at age 16 to attend college. Madhura has worked with Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, and the United Nations, maximizing the impact of their health investments.

Mr. Dick Schmitt is a Management Consultant and Executive Coach for both private clients as well as students at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He previously was a partner with A. T. Kearney and served as Managing Director, Europe for A. T. Kearney Executive Search based in Brussels. Mr. Schmidt holds a BA in economics from Xavier University and an MBA from the Tuck School. He is an avid reader, travel enthusiast, skier, and tennis player. Mr. Schmidt is a native of Detroit and now resides in McLean, VA.



Whiz Kids Workshop - Fellow


Brukty Tigabu is a co-founder of Whiz Kids Workshop, a children’s education production company in Ethiopia. From her personal experience, Brukty knew children had very few opportunities to learn about basic hygiene and thus fall prey to preventable diseases. Whiz Kid’s Workshop was created to be a simple but effective way to educate children on health issues and other life skills. She is a 2012 Rolex Award for Enterprise laureate, and 2011 Tech Awards laureate, and a speaker at TEDx events.

Dr. Granville (Pete) Smith is the CEO of Al Tayyar Energy, a role he has held since 1999. Pete has led and developed renewable energy projects for over three decades in more than 30 developing countries. His career spans all stages of the renewable energy sector and value chain.




Mariana Astrid Gonzalez Pacheco is the Co-Founder and Director of Institutional Development for ILUMEXICO Co. in 2008, Mariana co-founded her first company, Tecsus. Tecsus was a sustainable technology company focused on experience design. She previously worked in the Oil Exploration and Production Department at the Ministry of Energy. In 2012, she won the UVM Social Entrepreneur award. She is also cofounder of SVE, a student organization in the Engineering Faculty, which encourages entrepreneurship.

Marina Mansilla Hermann is a social entrepreneur in the field of environmental sustainability, with 20 years of experience inspiring, supporting and mobilizing youth to address the challenges of sustainable development and promoting youth participation in sustainability policy and decision making at the international and national level. Marina is the President and Founder of Fundación TierraVida, an Argentinean-based NGO working to educate, mobilize and promote citizen participation to achieve sustainable development in Latin America.

One World Education


Eric Goldstein is the Executive Director and Founder of One World Education (OWEd). The nonprofit organization leads middle and high school Common Core literacy programs and publishes student essays about cultural and global issues, promoting peer-to-peer learning and building the skills necessary for college and career writing. Eric has been an educator in public, charter and independent schools, and earned a United States Department of the Interior Partners in Education Award while teaching in a charter school in Southeast Washington DC in 2006.

Fred is an Internet pioneer and entrepreneur whose career and philanthropic activities have spanned a broad range of interests from education, media, arts, science and veteran affairs. Fred is the CEO of Echo360, an innovative education and technology firm. Before Echo360, Fred was a Senior Advisor to Masayoshi Son, President and CEO of SoftBank, and Chairman of Sprint’s Board of Directors. He was also active as a venture partner at SoftBank Capital in the US.

Victor is the Founder of Futbol Mas, which aims to increase the resilience and development of children in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Chile, Haiti and Ecuador. Victor was born in Santiago, Chile. Victor has been involved in social activities from a young age, both as a participant and as an organizer. Deeply passionate about community development, Victor decided to study psychology at the Catholic University of Chile where he was involved with several community programs.

Liziane Silva is Co-Founder and CEO of INK – which inspires, trains and connects people and organizations to transform their realities through entrepreneurial action. Ink’s focus is to inspire and support change in NGOs and social businesses, providing professional training, consulting services and ideas to expand impact and relevance. Established in 2012, INK has reached approximately two thousand people and has trained over 500 people in Brazil

In her career, Donna has held executive positions at both The Dannon Company and Yoplait. The Autumn Adeigbo Collection


Autumn Adeigbo is the designer behind the Autumn Adeigbo Collection. The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, she developed her love for fashion watching her mother sew her clothes. After receiving a degree in Economics from Spelman College, Autumn studied fashion design at Parsons, the New School of Design, and went on to work for designers Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui, as well as assist stylists Andrea Lieberman, Leslie Fremar, and Rebecca Weinberg for a total of seven years before developing her own collection that enhances sustainable income for underserved women in Africa.

Hope Schefler Taitz is the Managing Partner of ELY Advisors where she analyzes and invests in early and late stage companies in the consumer and retail sectors. Previously, Hope was the founder and Managing Partner of Catalyst Partners, a money management firm focused on special situations in both debt and equity in the retail, consumer and specialty finance sectors. She also sits on the board of many corporations.





Reese Fernandez-Ruiz is a co-founder of Rags2Riches, an eco-ethical handbags and home accessories brand that retails products made by local artisans in the poorest communities of the Philippines. This concept was first developed from an assignment in a business innovation class while attending Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. In 2010 Reese was awarded the Rolex Award for Enterprise, and is currently at Santa Clara University for the Global Social Benefit Incubator.

Lydia Thomas

Noblis, Past President & CEO

Dr. Lydia Thomas is the former President & CEO of Noblis, a nonprofit science, technology and strategy organization. She serves on the Advisory Boards of the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Posse Foundation, as well as a Trustee of the Inova Health System. The Financial Times named her Director of the Year for 2013. Dr. Thomas was named one of The Most Important Blacks in Technology in 2005 and 2006.



Spark MicroGrants


Sasha Fisher is the founder Spark MicroGrants, which provides small loans and grants to community-led projects in East Africa. Initial funding for Spark MicroGrants came from Yahoo’s charitable funding division and now Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, USAID, Google, and others have joined this cause. Since July 2010 Spark has partnered with over 30 communities in Rwanda and Uganda. Sasha graduated from the University of Vermont in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Human Security.

Ms. Marshall has extensive experience as a coach and consultant to numerous executives throughout her career.

Reid Saaris founded Equal Opportunity Schools with the mission to find “missing” students – qualified students not enrolled in the most rigorous courses – and ensure that they received the coursework needed to prepare them for college. Prior to this work, Mr. Saaris taught and headed the AP and IB programs at a high school in South Carolina. Mr. Saaris received Stanford’s 2010 Social Innovation Fellowship and is currently an Echoing Green Fellow and a Draper Richards Kaplan Entrepreneur.


Executive Vice President, T.Rowe Price

Cynthia Egan is a former Executive Vice President of T.Rowe Price Investments. She has extensive experience in building and leading financial businesses through beginning stages, dramatic growth, and strategic repositioning. Ms. Egan has held senior operating positions with both Fidelity Investments and T. Rowe Price. Throughout her career, she has also been an NPO chief executive, industry leader, and spokesperson. Ms. Egan is a director of Envestnet and serves on several volunteer boards.





Christi Adams founded Stop Abuse, Victim Empowerment (SAVE) with her parents and sister following her own experience with domestic abuse. SAVE is an advocacy and outreach-based nonprofit organization founded in December 2011 to stop the cycle of domestic abuse and support survivors of domestic abuse. Through its outreach programs SAVE aims to educate adolescents, teens, and young adults in an effort to prevent future generation of abuse and build momentum for social change.

Tracy Fitzsimmons is the 16th President of Shenandoah University. She is the institution’s first female president since its founding in 1875 and one of the youngest university presidents in the Commonwealth of Virginia. With regional expertise in Latin America, Tracy has taught courses on development and disaster relief, world politics, global democratization, women, and Latin American politics. Her published research on democratization, civil society, and gender in new civilian police forces has taken her across the world.


Jay Kloppenberg

African School for Excellence


Jay Kloppenberg is the founder and CEO of the African School for Excellence, which provides high-quality secondary schools to impoverished areas of South Africa at a fraction of the normal cost. Jay has taught English in the United States and Senegal, and has an MBA from the INSEAD Business School in France. Before founding the African School for Excellence, Jay worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Co. in New Jersey and South Africa and as a venture capitalist at Mecene Investment in Johannesburg.

Wood Parker

Former CEO, TASC

Business Mentor

Wood Parker is the former CEO of TASC, a spin-off from Northrop Grumman. He also served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years where he commanded a Navy destroyer during the first Persian Gulf War. Mr. Parker participated in the White House Fellows Program and has remained active with the program. He has written extensively about change management, leadership, and transformation initiatives to achieve improved business results.



Goods for Good


Goods for Good, founded by Melissa Kushner, works to aid orphans in Malawi. The organization originally distributed basic goods to orphans but has shifted its efforts to promote sustainable improvements. Now they partner directly with community centers to provide the resources needed to establish successful small businesses. The improved financial capacity of these communities allows them to independently care for orphans. Ms. Kushner is a recipient of New York University's Distinguished Young Alumna award.

Sami Inkinen is a Finland born entrepreneur who co-found Trulia, an online real estate marketplace. He currently invests, mentors, and advises at startup accelerators Rock Health, Blueprint Health, 500 Startups and The Founder Institute. Mr. Inkinen holds an MBA from Stanford University and Masters in Science from the Physics department of Helsinki University of Technology. He is a 6-time Hawaii Ironman triathlon competitor and 2011 triathlon world champion in his age group.


Gene Gurkoff

Charity Miles


Gene Gurkoff is the the creator of the app Charity Miles, which makes it easy to sponsor athletes who run, walk, or bike for charity. When these activities are logged and shared through social media, corporate sponsors make donations to charities based on the distance trekked. The concept was developed based on his own efforts to run marathons for Parkinson’s research in honor of his grandfather. Mr. Gurkoff is the winner of the 2013 SXSW Dewey Wilburne Interactive Award. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School.

Our Executive Coaches

At the beginning of The Global Good Fund Fellowship, each Fellow is paired with a professional Executive Coach ("EC"). As the Fellow’s real first line of contact, the Executive Coach helps to interpret & internalize their 360 Mirror Leadership Development Assessment results, and use that feedback as a key component of building his/her Leadership Development Plan ("LDP"). This process occurs over a series of seven conversations between January-May.

Ronni Hendel-Giller is a certified coach with the NeuroLeadership Group and also a Barrett Values Center Consultant. She is a graduate of Hebrew University in Jerusalem and holds a Masters Degree in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University.

Kevin Lamb is the Senior Advisor for Organizational Effectiveness at Catholic Relief Services (CRS).  He is an experienced planner, facilitator, project manager and executive coach. Kevin is passionate about helping individuals, teams and entire organizations to adapt and thrive by focusing on both performance and organizational health. He also played a lead role in planning and establishing Carnegie Mellon’s Silicon Valley campus at the NASA Research Park in Mountain View, California.

He is VP and Partner of Polarity Partnerships LLC, where he serves as the Dean of the 2-year Mastery and Coaching Programs in Polarity Thinking. He holds an MA in Organizational Development and Human Resources Management from American University, a BA in History and Business from Lenoir-Rhyne University, and is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Executive Leadership Coaching Program.

Lizann Peyton is an experienced NGO consultant, specializing in strategic planning, leadership development, stakeholder engagement, and building the governance and staff capacity of small and medium-size organizations to ensure their sustainability. Lizann holds a Masters in Organization and Management from Antioch New England Graduate School and has consulted to the NGO sector since 1997. She is a nationally certified Core Capacity Assessment facilitator.

Constance Aguayo is the managing principal consultant at Aguayo Group, which specializes in professional coaching for leadership in business and life. She is extensively experienced in organization and culture change, leadership and executive coaching. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology and quality management were conferred by Spelman College and Loyola University New Orleans, respectively.

Shawn Boockoff has expertise in organizational leadership, professional coaching and Agile Leadership and Coaching. He holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership. Shawn is a  Somatic Coach (SISC), an executive and team coach (ICF ACC) and a Certified Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance).

Russ Watts guides leaders to reach their potential by using mindfulness, ability to assess situations and behaviors objectively, compassion, humor and authentic support. In his training as an executive coach, he discovered the body as a powerful ally for learning and growth. Russ holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Executive Leadership Coach training. He holds an ACC level of certification from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Brenda Harrington is the founder of Adaptive Leadership Strategies, LLC. She works with organizations to improve performance by helping leaders and key individual contributors work with greater agility and expand leadership capacity. Brenda completed Leadership Coach training at Georgetown University, and is certified by the International Coach Federation. She is also certified by the Thunderbird School of Global Management to facilitate the Global Mindset Inventory.


Executive Coach

Lauren Edelstein is a coach, trainer, and facilitator with expertise in conflict management and negotiation. Lauren teaches upper level undergraduate courses in conflict management and negotiation at the University of Maryland and is also on the faculty of the Washington Hospital Center’s Center for Ethics.
